The art of Hungarian cooking arises from old traditional ways with origins of the first settles of the Carpathian basin. Our cooking course will include visit to the market hall where you will get a chance to browse with the help of our guide and look over the food that is used for many Hungarian meals and ingredients that our ancestors used many years ago.
After market visit cooking course would begin and you will have opportunity to cook a Hungarian Meal side by side with our chefs. They will show you which basic ingredients and spices like paprika they use the most and will teach you best cooking practices they use. Once you finished cooking 3 course meal you will have time to sit down with participants and enjoy the meal you have created.
following meal shall be created (subject to seasonal ingredients change):
- creamy fruit soup such as sour cherry soup (suitable in warmer weather) OR vegetable soup such as creamy potato soup with or without Hungarian sausage bits
- Chicken paprikas OR Mushroom paprikas (for vegetarians) both served with 'nokedli' - home made dumplings
- Dessert is always something very sweet since Hungarians love sweet things. Such as Somloi galuska (chocolate and vanilla cream sponge cake) OR Hungarian palacsinta (pancake) OR sweet cottage cheese balls
After being picked up from your hotel, you will be transferred to join a cooking lesson, to learn authentic Chinese home cooking from an expert. It will offer you the chance to cook the Chinese dishes by yourself. During the cooking lesson, you will form a team of two and learn two different dishes. See how they are made from beginning to end and learn the secrets of excellent Chinese cooking. You will prepare one dish yourself with the help from the experts. This is a hands-on learning experience. Enjoy lunch, prepared by yourself! An English speaking representative will remain throughout to help with translation.
This tour will take you to a memorable evening at Vaux le Vicomte castle, a masterpiece of the 17th century that inspired Louis XIV in the creation of Versailles Castle. This tour takes place at the best time of the day, after the sunset, the French garden is lit by 2000 candles to make the best romantic summer night. You will enjoy a dinner at the restaurant the Ecureuil located inside the park, it includes drinks. During the evening you will be able to visit the castle and enjoy a walk in the gardens.
Chef Marthe teaches you how to prepare delicious desserts. You explore the scope of French gastronomy and leave with recipes easy to make again once home. The courses take place in her private apartment in Montparnasse neighbourhood. The class is 2h15 long and includes the making of 3 desserts. Some unlimited hot drink is offered. The material and ingredients are provided, as well as an apron.
Enjoy a taste of Morocco with this superb and succulent cooking lesson. This tour takes place in a charming atmosphere, a Kasbah surrounded by lush greenery and vegetable gardens where a traditional chef will share with you the secrets of Morocco's recipes. You will get a full explanation of the Moroccan cooking, its history and tradition together with cooking the "special dish of the day". At the end of the lesson all participants will taste all dishes they have prepared at the shadow of an olive or fig tree in the private patio area. The selection of dishes to choose from can include various types of Tanjines, couscous with chicken or lamb, Moroccan Briwates and Moroccan salads and Pastillas.
